Main areas of Research Interest

Study of Lithospheric Mantle through petrological and geochemical work on:
  • Precambrian Mafic Igneous Complexes, particularly dyke swarms and associated volcanic rocks from different Archaean cratons of the Indian Shield and Arunanchal Himalaya.
  • Ultramafic-Alkaline-Carbonatite Complexes of western, southern, and northeastern India.
  • Lamprophyres, lamproites, and kimberlites of Mahakoshal supracrustal belt (Central India), Damodar valley, East Gondwana (Eastern India), and Eastern Dharwar craton (southern India).
